Good diet is very important for all of us, not only following liposuction. The great majority of us are not very keen on dieting and some of us do not care about dieting, and some think that they have the right diet but in reality, this is not true.
Manufacturers and supermarkets are selling plenty of products and they want us to believe that the products are good and healthy. However, the reality is different.
The most important thing in any diet is the sugar factor. Fructose is the natural sugar within all fruits and vegetables and is a major sugar in the extracted juice. However, it should be combined with fibre as a natural partner.
The obesity epidemic has been driven by the extreme use of both fructose and refined sweetener and flours in our diet. Our environment is fructose-rich and fibre poor. The fructose (natural sugar) is just as bad as refined sugar or refined flours. What you eat is as important as how much you eat.
If you wish to lose weight, the amount of calories you burn must be higher than the calories derived from food intake. Daily exercise is essential for weight loss or its maintenance. It is not necessary to go to the gym to exercise as you can also exercise at home with isometric exercise with your own bodyweight. Isometric exercise is basically the act of using force against resistance without changing your muscle length. Some examples of this form of exercise include: holding a bicep curl at a 90-degree mark for 30 seconds, pushing against an immoveable object such as a wall, pressing your hands together in a prayer position, or even a plank. To make this form of exercise beneficial and effective, it is important to hold the positions for 30 seconds (or more) with a few reps, and to do them on a regular basis and to form a routine. For example, when sitting in front of the computer, you can tighten your abdomen muscles, and clench your arm muscles at a 90-degree angle for 10 seconds 10 times. Not only will isometric exercise help with weight loss and maintaining your weight, but it will also help strengthen muscles.
There is no such thing as a miracle diet. Permanent results are achieved by changing eating and lifestyle habits. It is a life-long commitment, and it is important to introduce good eating habits. This includes eating slowly, leaving some food on your plate if you are not very hungry or if at a restaurant, taking home leftovers instead of over indulging. Foods to include in your diet can be different meats: lean ham or chicken, and fish served with a small piece of bread or pasta. Ensure you eat slowly and wait 5-10 minutes before eating the next course. Often we eat more because we are bored, so try to preoccupy yourself with work or a hobby, or drink water as you can often confuse hunger with thirst. Also, when it is summer or hot you do not need to eat as much as during winter or cooler temperatures.
